I am so excited to share this news with you. For over 35 years, Quiltmaker magazine has been your trusted source for clear and accurate step-by-step instructions for making a quilt – from start to finish. We regularly include beautiful quilting motifs to enhance your piecing or appliqué, continuous-line quilting motifs and all-over designs for the ever-increasing number of machine quilters in our community. We are finally making our digitized motifs available for purchase from our website and I can’t wait to show some of them to you!

There is a wide variety of styles: geometric, floral, feathers and some plain old, just-for-fun ones. I’m certain you’ll find one that suits your needs. One of my favorites is Splashy.

It’s a simple geometric design that creates movement across your quilt. I think you could quilt it on anything from a more traditional design to something more contemporary. This quilt by Barbara Cline uses this motif really nicely.

Need a classic motif for your block? The Double Feather Wreath is the perfect solution. It reminds me of wonderful hand quilted motifs of time past and I can picture it on any quilt with traditional blocks like a Nine-Patch, Ohio Star or even in a plain patch to show off your quilting.

Garden Swirl is a wonderfully whimsical motif with leaves and swirls, perfect for adding a floral touch to your quilt.

Look how great it looks on this quilt designed by Jessie Kurtz for one of our Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks issues. It really enhances her beautiful design.
