Quilting Quickly May/June 2018
SUMMER’S COMING! School will soon be out. Special events will be celebrated and vacations planned.
Wait…did somebody say vacation?
If you’re like us, you love scouting for quilt shops whenever and wherever you travel. But unless you’ve brought along an extra suitcase, you’re probably going to resist buying multiple yards of fabric in every colorway.
No worries! Pre-cuts are oh-so portable, and we’ve got you covered with 13 new designs to use them.
So go ahead, scoop up that colorful collection of 5″ charms or fat quarters. They’ll be perfect for Colleen Tauke’s Scoop. Save the leftover scraps to make her companion table topper, Finding Joy.
Can you squeeze a few rolls of 2½” strips in the corners of your carry-on? Great! Meadow Frolic, Playmates, and 3 more quilts were designed with those in mind.
Plus, you’ll want to use those time-saving precuts to whip up gifts for that special dad or exceptional grad with designs like Spinning Wheels, Checkered Cabin, Back to the Drawing Board, or On Vinyl when you return home.
Flag your favorite patterns now—we know you’re ready for that vacation!

I used to subscribe to Fons and Porter’s Quilting Quickly magazine a couple or so years ago, before they made changes to their company. My favorite thing was the matching online video for each featured quilt. Each one had a video icon telling you that the video to the quilt could be found online.
Recently I received my first auto-ship of Quilting Quickly from you. I was terribly disappointed to find that there is no longer video icon on the quilt pattern page.
Oh no! I am an angle-challenged big baby and cannot do these without watching the videos!
Can you tell me if the video references in the magazines have been eliminated for good? If that is the case, I must cancel my auto-ship to Quilting Quickly magazine, as much as I hate to.
Please check into this and let me know.
Thank you very much,
Sue Fitzpatrick
Sue,
I’ve reached out to our team with your question and will let you know what I hear back.
Best,
