Quilting made easy is what you’ll find in McCall’s Quick Quilts, with patterns you should be able to piece in one or two weekends. Each issue also includes Quick Pics, a page of photos that readers have sent us of quilts they’ve made based on their favorite patterns from previous issues. Here are the ones showcased in the June/July 2018 issue. Great work, everybody, and thanks for sharing your photos to inspire other quilters! (Scroll down to learn how to submit a Quick Pic for future consideration.)

Linda Marsh of East Jacksonville, Florida, made Letters from Home (Quick Quilts, June/July 2017) to give to a veteran at a Wounded Warrior breakfast hosted last November by her quilt group, Pieceful Quilters, for veterans returning from war.

Judy Slocum McGrory of Georgetown, Texas, made Winter Windows (Quick Quilts, Dec/Jan 2014) for her granddaughter Aubree. Because Aubree loves dancing, Judy made her a quilt and matching rabbit from pink ballerina fabric—Aubree clearly loves them both. This is the third time Judy has made this pattern and she loves how its dimensional look lets her show off a focus fabric.

Patricia Hom of San Francisco, California, made her version of Rex & Roo (Quick Quilts, Aug/Sept 2017) for her great- nephew Kayden. She stuck with the pattern’s color placement but substituted textures and tone-on-tones for the prints used in the original.

Jenn Bongiorno of Londonderry, New Hampshire, gave Seaside Steps (Quick Quilts, Feb/March 2017) to her friend Beckie Anderson (pictured) and her family for a housewarming gift. She let Beckie choose the colors, then added two borders to make it an oversized throw. A fairly new quilter, Jenn says she loves it when those in her life use the quilts they’re gifted until they wear out.
