         Many quilters, confident in their ability to learn the complex skills of rotary cutting, applique and precision piecing, lose their confidence as soon as the quilt top is complete.  The beautiful top hangs in the sewing room until a Long Arm Quilter is found to complete the quilt; or, the fabric masterpiece gets folded neatly into a box to make room for the next project. 

Many of these quilters make timid attempts to learn free motion quilting. They are told to “just stipple or meander” which are NOT the easiest quilt motifs for beginners.  Unsure how to progress, and discouraged by their initial efforts, these quilters give up.
