quilt-friends-in-the-forest-flatAngie Milligan’s Friends in the Forest is an easy and adorable baby quilt. Simple strip-piecing (with nifty Four-Patch cornerstones) frames one square, and the other square is framed with triangular corner units. The simple, straightforward piecing does what it’s designed to do: show off the fabric.

This is a quilt that is meant to frame adorable prints. Here, there are little bunnies, foxes, and owls in one block, and then bunnies, hedgehogs, and squirrels in another. It’s perfect for playing seek-and-find with characters in the prints. There are so many sweet or silly prints out there, and this quilt pattern would pair perfectly with almost all of them. The larger center squares work well with any scale of print, large or small.

With the simplicity of the piecing, this is a quilt that can get done for that upcoming baby shower. It’s as quick as a bunny to make!
