Batik Stars
It’s always a good day when we receive a quilt from Liz Porter to publish! Traditional, scrappy, and uniquely creative, Liz’s style always results in a satisfying quilt.
Batik Stars is the type of quilt we know and love from Liz. The traditional patchwork features a chaining design, with 8-Pointed Star blocks sparkling throughout. Liz uses assorted prints in the quilt, making it fairly scrappy… But who else would have thought to combine those rich, bright batiks with black-and-white background prints? The result is fun and fresh.
The 8-Pointed Star blocks in Batik Stars can be created with traced templates, or if you have a set of Tri-Recs Tools, we’ve included a Sew Easy Lesson (includes video!) on using the tools to create the quilt block.
